Operative Reduction
Open reduction and internal fixation (ORIF) is a surgical procedure that involves exposure of the fracture site and reduction or repositioning of the fracture fragments. Internal fixation is performed to stabilize the fracture with the help of devices such as Kirschner’s wires, plates and screws and intramedullary nails.
